What Can I Expect From My Initial Exercise Physiology Assessment?
An Exercise Physiology Initial Assessment at Fortify Fitness will include a thorough discussion about your diagnosis, medical history, previous and current injuries, health conditions and treatment based on your medication. We will also conduct an AxIT fitness and movement assessment to provide a clinical postural and analysis of your body to assess risk management and improve your everyday life.
This full assessment information is important in order to prescribe an individual exercise program that’s tailored and designed for your body. Then, with your certified exercise physiologist, your goals are discussed and a treatment plan is designed and developed for you. Then, depending on your exercise conditioning needs, you’ll begin an individual exercise program in either a 1:1 or via a Telehealth call.
Your exercise therapy program will be reassessed and adjusted every 3-4 weeks to ensure your program reflects your clinical goals. If required, a structured home exercise program via a Telehealth call can be programmed to ensure that you’re getting the most out of your exercise physiology sessions.
From your initial assessment, you’ll have a clear management plan for your clinical condition. And you’ll be supported in a professional manner and care is taken to achieve your goals. Your Fortify Fitness Melbourne exercise physiologist will also collaborate with any other treating and allied health practitioners to ensure each member of your healthcare team is collaborating and working towards the same health goals.
