AxIT Fitness Testing

At Fortify Fitness Altona, we use the AxIT system of fitness testing. This is state-of-the-art technology, previously only available to elite sporting clubs. Only a few fitness businesses in Australia have access to this system. We’re one of them!

In your initial assessment, we provide a functional movement screen and strength testing. This will assess any injuries & muscular imbalances you may have, which will enable us to assist in creating an evidence based exercise program just for you.

You are assessed using the latest assessment technology previously only found in million dollar sports clubs so that we can look after you like an athlete.

Having imbalances holds you back from achieving the fitness and performance you desire.
The AxIT system measures this, so you keep motivated to see improvement at each session.

With our fitness consulting, we can strength test every muscle in your body and provide a plan to re-gain the hidden power & performance your body is capable of.

Body Composition Analysis

Measure Your Body So You Can Manage it Better.

When you’re thinking of losing weight or simply want to see how healthy you are, you probably do one of two things: step on a scale or calculate your BMI. But the truth is, these methods don’t tell you anything about how healthy you are. All weight and BMI do is compare how heavy you are to a standard that doesn’t factor in your body type and your individual goals.

When you’re trying to get healthier, you’re most likely going to lose body fat and (hopefully) gain muscle. But BMI and weight don’t differentiate between muscle and fat. So how can you? Through body composition analysis.

Body composition analysis is a method of describing what the body is made of, differentiating between fat, protein, minerals, and body water to give you a snapshot of your health. Our Tanita body composition analyser can also calculate basal metabolic rate and metabolic age. This gives us a true representation of your current health.
